Arup’s history in Sheffield began back in 1957, when the city became host to the company’s first office outside of London. Fast-forward almost 60 years and Arup’s presence in Sheffield is as prominenet as ever, resulting in increased growth.
With increased growth comes the need to accomodate more staff. This inevitably means more workspace is required, resulting in Arup’s need to re-think their existing office’s layout.
As you’d expect from the company behind the structural design of the Sydney Opera House, Arup has always been a firm looking to innovate. With this in mind, Arup’s fit-out company of choice, Overbury, consciously designed a scheme with a view to making it agile and flexible.
